I cannot imagine a life where I did not tell stories. I became a storyteller in the first grade. I told my teacher I couldn’t stay after school to help clean the classroom because I had menopause and needed to lie down.
Well, it worked for Grandma.
In third grade I told my friends Bozo the Clown was my father. They were impressed. My father was horrified.
My mother hurt herself laughing.
I learned early in life that laughter makes the world heal from sorrow and pain. It also distracted my parents from the real reason I did poorly on a test. I was too busy creating a fantasy world in my head...
a world without dumb tests.

A runaway bride meets her destiny in an obscure Georgia town comprised of an outlaw pig, the best fried chicken in the South, and a mouthwatering mayor who thinks she's trouble.
Laugh out loud funny and heartwarming
Kimberley Dehn has hit one out of the park with Southern Exposure. This book has it all--engaging, lovable characters, romance, and humor. It's been a while since I re-read a book and enjoyed it just as much the second time around. This book is well-worth the read.
